Fitness Crossroad is pleased to provide yoga classes for expectant mothers. Classes are available in six-week sessions to both members and guests of Fitness Crossroad. Prenatal yoga is appropriate for women at any stage of pregnancy (who have their health care provider’s approval to exercise), and includes meditation, breathing exercises and yoga postures specifically designed for women throughout pregnancy and to prepare for birth. Classes are taught by Fitness Crossroad instructor Melissa Nelson, a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher, JAI-certified prenatal yoga instructor, doula and mother of three.
